French fashion house Balmain has two boutiques in Hong Kong, one at the Pacific Place mall (88 Queensway) and another within Harbour City (3-27 Canton Road).
Balmain was founded in Paris (at 44 Rue François 1er) in 1945 by couturier Pierre Balmain, after he had worked alongside fellow greats Christian Dior and Hubert de Givenchy at Lucien Lelong’s couture house.
Over the years, the quintessentially Parisian fashion house of Balmain has managed to retain its unique position as a leading trendsetting brand that others look to as a reference.
Unlike some couture houses, Balmain has always proudly remained true to the original vision and trailblazing spirit of its founder. Since Pierre Balmain, each new head designer has always balanced modern needs with the respect for the foundations and traditions of the house.
Even today, all of the brand’s creations are inspired by the colors, fluidity, and elegance of Balmain’s signature “Jolie Madame” aesthetic. This tradition is combined with the unique confident style of today’s modern women, Balmain’s mastery of tailoring, embroidery, and techniques of classic couture.
Balmain makes disctinctive collections for both women and men.
For women, the collections include outerwear, dresses & skirts, tops, jeans & trousers, shoes, accessories, fragrances, and bags. Men, meanwhile, can purchase Balmain’s outerwear, tops, jeans & trousers, shoes, accessories, and fragrances.
