Carpet company Tai Ping has one showroom store in Hong Kong, located within Landmark shopping center’s Prince’s Building (10 Chater Road).
Established in 1956 by Lawrence Kadoorie, his brother Horace, and five prominent businessmen, Tai Ping was created to preserve China’s venerable craft of handmade rugs.
Today, their products, which combine tradition, technical innovation, design, and quality, grace many of the world’s leading hotels and luxury homes.
The House of Tai Ping’s couture carpets, both handmade and machine woven, are of the highest possible quality, showcasing a respect for the company’s storied past, innovation, and sophisticated level of design.
The available Tai Ping products are made only from the best available materials from silk to linen, cotton, wool, and cashmere, featuring delicate blends with textures that soften with wear.
Often, the company uses hand-finishing techniques, resulting in one of a kind patters and texture, which are made possible by skills that have been passed from generation to generation of Tai Ping artisans.
