Luxury sunglasses and optical frames brand Linda Farrow has two boutiques in Hong Kong, one at Harbour City’s Gateway Arcade (3-27 Canton Road) and another within IFC Mall (1 Harbour View Street).
Originally established by fashion designer Linda Farrow in 1970, and in Hong Kong since 2009, the brand was one of the first to treat sunglasses as a fashion accessory.
Linda Farrow was a tireless experimenter of styles, pioneering many of the groundbreaking styles and shapes that remain au courant to this day.
With the pioneering, daring use of shapes, Linda Farrow eyewear moved into the high-fashion territory, with avant-garde styles seen on stars like Yoko Ono, which in turned into collaborations with such fashion houses as Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and Sonia Rykiel.
However, the brand went into a twenty year hiatus, being revived in 2003 by Farrow’s son Simon following the discovery of a vast archive of vintage sunglasses in the family’s London warehouse.
Today, operating under the original Linda Farrow name, the brand continues the spirit of collaboration, working with some of the world’s most acclaimed designers, such as Dries van Noten, Phillip Lim, Jeremy Scott among many others.
The new designs, combined with the unprecedented archive of Linda Farrow vintage sunglasses, have established the brand as one of the most exciting in fashion.
