Founded in 1860 in Florence, Italy, the Italian high-end watch company manufactures timepieces that combine the finest Italian design and heritage with the art of Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship.
Originally, the company focused on supplying precision instruments to the Italian Navy, a development which also included creating timepieces such as the Luminor and Radiomir watches.

The launch of the watch brand to the international market came only after a purchase of the company by the Richemont Group in 1997.
